How it works
The Indigo Learning & Collaboration System essentially enables real-time interaction and collaboration between teachers and students who are in different locations.

A teacher who is in the main class can not only deliver a lesson to those students who are physically present in her own class but also to groups of students who might be in remote classes that are located in other cities.

Through display screens, speakers and mics in the main class and all connected classes, the teacher and students can all see, hear and speak to each other. The physical aspect of writing questions on the board and calling on a student to answer them is made possible by the Interactive Whiteboards in all the classes. The teacher can write a question on the whiteboard in the main class and a student from any remote class will be able to simply go up to the whiteboard in his class and write the answer down. Whatever is written on the whiteboard in any one of the classrooms will instantly appear on the boards located in all other connected classes.

Aside from just classroom to classroom based interaction and collaboration, the Indigo education solution makes teaching and learning possible from any location by the use of Indigo software and end devices such as PC's and laptops.

A teacher can be in transit or an industry subject matter expert can be in his office and they can deliver a lecture to students who could be in a classroom in another city or even students who might be at home and logged into the session from their PC’s. Even from anywhere and on any device, interaction is never limited as the Indigo Learning & Collaboration System convert a laptop or PC screen into a writeable surface.

All interaction, collaboration and content delivery takes place between every participant in real-time, over the internet.

• Allows the display of multiple choice questions on the whiteboard. Students in the main class as well as those in all remotely connected classrooms can answer by using their own cell phones or the student response devices.
• The performance of individual students, groups or the entire class can be tracked across their academic tenure and underperformers can be identified and given special attention.

Teacher to Teacher Collaboration

• During a classroom session a teacher has the ability to invite another subject matter expert, who can be located anywhere in the world, to lend his/her expertise.
• Junior/trainee teachers can receive training by being physically present in classrooms where live teaching is being conducted by expert teachers from remote locations. The expert teachers can also monitor trainee teachers in remote locations.

Creation of a Knowledge Repository

• Teaching material (books, notes, digital content) created painstakingly over several years can be collated by the teacher to create a knowledge repository.
• Annotation and concepts written by the teacher and the students on the whiteboard(s) in the connected classrooms can be captured, collated, stored and accessed at anytime from anywhere, be it school, home or any remote location.
• The entire lesson delivery with audio and video of the teacher can be effectively recorded with our Lecture Capture solution.

Teacher On Call

• Using our Test and Assessment tool, the teacher can identify students who need additional help.
• The teacher and students can simultaneously access the content that was used during the classroom session from the repository and in the comfort of their own homes, using laptops or PCs; the teacher can tutor the students in real-time, with audio and video interactivity.

Teach From Anywhere

• The teacher need not be physically present in the classroom to conduct the lecture. The teacher can log in from any location using a laptop with a camera and conduct the lecture with all interactivity, collaboration and assessment features enabled.
• The teacher can see and hear the students across connected classrooms or those using laptops and vice versa. This ensures that the teacher need not miss a single teaching session, even when she is physically unable to attend class.
